Living The Raw Life

Heeeeeeeeeey!!! I’m back again with another one y’all!! I appreciate each and everyone of you for taking your time out to read my blog! I pray that they’ve been blessing you!!!

Okay! So your girl has embarked on something new. God has definitely been orchestrating my year. God has been slowly changing my eating. How He did it was crazy 😜. God has me on a RAW FOOD DIET!!! This has been a tremendous change for me. I LOVE FOOD!!! I have a special relationship with food. I love experimenting with different foods and it just makes me happy LOL!!! So me being on a raw food diet has been interesting. I haven’t quite  got for the flavors right. It’s still enjoyable. Definitely a very interesting journey.

My reason for being on this diet is because I had been having some not so good lab results. They were getting worst and on top of that I had high blood pressure. The diagnosis that they were  trying to give me I feel like I’m too young for. Of course like anything else I DIDN’T ACCEPT IT AT ALL. God is truly a healer. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

How this journey started?  I ended up going on this fast with this ministry I follow. It was a 6a to 6pm fast and after 6pm you could only eat raw foods. When I tell you I was STRUGGLING!!! LOL!!! I couldn’t eat my night snacks and I just felt hungry. The fast was 3 days but I noticed that my blood pressure dropped tremendously. Some other issues I was having were also gone. While on the fast I started reading this book “Fast your way to Health”. I haven’t yet finished but what I had read changed my life and my perspective of food. A lot of the food I was eating was messing me completely up. Between that fast and that book, God prepared me for a lifestyle change.

My desire for candy left and I just had this overwhelming desire to eat healthy and care about my body. I started looking up food and juices that would eliminate any inflammation in my body that would eliminate pain. The more I did research the more of a desire I had to eat raw food. God has been definitely walking me through this whole process. I have so far dropped 20lbs and I no longer have high blood pressure. My pain is almost nonexistent in my body and I feel really good. I use to have some swelling on my legs. That is gone!!! God is good. I didn’t know how important the right food played in your overall health. I am so appreciative to God for this gift.

I told myself I was going to do a week, a week turned into 3 and now I’m going into a month of being raw vegan. I’m still trying to decide if I’m going  to stay a raw vegan or transition into a high raw vegan. I know that I do want to be vegan. This has definitely been a challenge for me. First week I felt sick because of all of the detoxing. I was extremely tired, so I rested a lot. It does detox every part of you. Physically, mentally and spiritually. It’s an incredible journey. Your girl is aging backwards. LOL!!! LETS GO!!! Stay tuned for my next update! The

Am I Trusting God?

I'm realizing after prayer and being around other prophetic people that there has been a constant theme that I've been hearing about myself and that is I need to completely trust God and that I need to be still and know that He is God. Trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or ability of someone or something. The biblical definition of Trust is   the confident, active reliance on God's character and promises, rather than on human strength or understanding. I often quote the scripture Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding but in all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your pathway. Out of my mouth I say that I trust God and I tell myself I trust God but, in my heart, it tells a different story. Sometimes I allow what I see to override what God said. What does that look like. I can tell myself all day that I trust, I know you can do it God and then when a hard situation comes, I begin to worry and ...

My Jar is full!

Man! The last couple of weeks have been interesting to say the least. For those that don’t know I have been on a raw food diet for a few weeks now. It has definitely been a challenge but I have seen a tremendous change in myself. Just having the self discipline to even embark on this journey has truly been God orchestrated. It has been some serious detoxing going on. My life has changed and I’m loving it. Listen this one is a long one. Enjoy 😉. Whenever you do this type of diet, you detox not only your body but you detox mentally as well. The last two weeks I have experienced crazy anxiety beyond what I’ve ever experienced. That is one of the side effects so I had to go through it. I couldn’t talk to anyone about it because what I was going through was more so spiritual than anything. Last night I allowed myself to feel whatever it was. The feeling that I was feeling was “grief”. I stood against my kitchen wall and I began to talk to God about what I was feeling. I told God I was tire...

My Cycles

Chill! Chill! I know it’s been a minute. Your girl is finally back where she belongs! I’ve missed you all. I’ve started a few posts but didn’t feel great posting them. This one is one I needed to post. I pray and hope that this resonates with at least one person.  As we are in this final quarter of the year, I’ve begun to reflect on the year I’ve had so far. This year has been a year of tremendous change for me. If I’m being honest in the beginning, I didn’t think I was going to make it. The road ahead just looked way too hard for me. I honestly didn’t think I even had the strength to go through. Keyword: “I”. I didn’t have the strength but where I felt weak God made me strong (Joel 3:10). This has been a true healing journey for me. I’ve watched God take me through every moment of pain in my life and help me process through. In my isolation, I was able to hear his voice more clearly. He showed me different areas in my life that I needed to change. He helped me to be bolder and cre...
